All customers are bound by our Terms & Conditions:
- Quality Assured Inspections provide an assessment of the quality of the finishes to your new home, this assessment looks at the quality of construction and assesses the quality against current building standards. A detailed report highlighting the results is then produced for the customer.
- Quality Assured Inspections will aim to issue your report (hard copy) within 7 days of the inspection being carried out. If requested we will endeavour to issue an electronic version (e-mail) within 3 days. We will not be held liable for delays resultant on circumstances beyond our control.
- Quality Assured Inspections require the balance of the inspection fee no later than 2 days prior to the agreed date of inspection. Cancellations with a minimum 48hrs notice will be subject to a full refund, cancellations between 48hrs and 24hrs notice will be subject to a £50 surcharge and the remainder of fees paid refunded, cancellations with less than 24hrs notice will be subject to a £100 surcharge and the remainder of fees paid refunded. Surcharges may be wavered if an inspection is re-booked but will be at our discretion.
- Quality Assured Inspections will not be held liable for non admittance to your home by the builder or any of their representatives, if such a situation arises our inspector will make all reasonable attempts to contact the customer and advise of such problems at the time of the event. The customer must make all endeavours to be contactable during the inspection times agreed. In such a situation the inspection fee paid will not be refundable.
- Quality Assured Inspections will test and inspect all electrical fittings that are live, we will not attempt any inspections to fittings if they have been isolated at the main distribution point. It is important to understand that Quality Assured Inspections are not qualified to test the safety of the electrical installations and will only report that fittings are working. The customer should ensure that they receive the required certification from their builder to ensure the electrical system has been tested.
- Quality Assured Inspections will test your heating system in so much that it is working and heating all radiators where applicable, we will not turn on any isolation valves associated with a gas installation to your property and will not test the installation integrity of any such gas installations. It is important to understand that Quality Assured Inspections are not qualified to test the safety of your gas installations and will only report that terminal fittings are working. The customer should ensure that they receive the required certification from their builder to ensure the gas installation has been tested.
- Quality Assured Inspections will undertake a visual inspection from an easily accessible and safe location within the confines of the home, we will not inspect areas that are deemed unsafe and therefore we will not be liable for defects or poor quality in such areas. We will record any such areas not accessible and it is the responsibility of the customer to gain entry to these areas with the builder.
- Quality Assured Inspections will not be liable for defects or elements of poor quality that is found after the inspection has been carried out, it is important to understand that defects can materialize weeks and months after the customer has taken occupancy of their home, it will be the responsibility of the customer to highlight these to their builder should the defect be of a serious nature.
- Quality Assured Inspections will undertake an external inspection of the customer’s home where it is safe to do so. We will not access the main roof or a low level roof, but will undertake the inspection from the ground level.
- Quality Assured Inspections cannot be held responsible for any omissions and / or errors made within the inspection report.
- Quality Assured Inspections allow the customer a period of 7 days from receipt of the report to request any legitimate changes to be made to the report, after this time any changes will be subject to an administration charge for resubmission of the amended report.
- Quality Assured Inspections confirm that once full payment has been cleared the final report will become the legal property of the customer. We reserve the right to utilize all reports for our own information and publication to aid our business without the customers consent.
- Quality Assured Inspections are not in anyway a valuation or structural survey and is for advisory purposes only. We may advise further specialist inspections if we discover certain defects.
- Quality Assured Inspections reserve the right to change the pricing structure of our services at any time.
- Quality Assured Inspections will not allow the customer to alter or change any part of the report without their express permission. We will not be liable for false, misleading or unlawful alterations or changes.
- Quality Assured Inspections will not be responsible for the report once it is in the possession of the customer.
- Quality Assured Inspections will not be held liable for any damages of any nature to any persons incurred through information contained within these pages.
